Here's another great way to spend time with your kids and use your essential oils for some sensory fun. Have your child smell the oils and decide which ones they would like to use or mix together for something special. You can also try mixing and combining naturally colored spices listed below for added fun and discovery.
HOMEMADE MOON SAND
4 cups flour
1/2 cup olive oil
Natural food coloring (more on these below)
5 drops essential oil (2+ years old safe)
Mix together the flour and olive oil in a large glass bowl. Add more olive oil if it feels too dry if desired.
Divide into small bowls if you want more than one color or scent.
Add your essential oils and colors. Have your child mix these together using their hands.
Have fun playing and experimenting!
Store your sand in the refrigerator for extended use.
