OUR STORY

Sixth Scents was founded by a mother and wife who was fated to discover that nature holds a distinct ability to promote health to the body and mind. Having a son with autism and a husband with an autoimmune disease, she quickly gained an appreciation for natural health. This includes what we consume, what we put on our bodies, and what we surround ourselves with — all of which affect our physical and emotional wellbeing in a big way.

We believe essential oils are an integral part of health. From them, we can create a pleasant and therapeutic environment within our homes and workplaces that are safe and uplifting to the mind, body, and spirit.

Aromatherapy has withstood the test of time and has lived to prove its value in both practice and clinical trials. From skin ailments, sore joints, or respiratory infections, essential oils are an important and useful tool for natural healing.

We are thrilled to make collecting pure essential oils affordable, informative, and fun. We sincerely look forward to our continued community growth of health and earth conscious friends.

Having oils that meet the highest standards means that you can rest assured that our essential oils are 100% pure, non-toxic, and non-GMO with NO synthetic fragrances, sulfates, parabens, alcohol, formaldehydes, or mineral oil. Also, Sixth Scents oils are, and always will be, vegan and cruelty-free. ​

​We've gone above and beyond to make sure we provide containers that are as recyclable as possible. All of the packing materials as well as shipping and kraft boxes are biodegradable and made from ​post-consumer material. Also, having pine as opposed to paper boxes was also a conscious decision as these can be repurposed in so many different ways such as drawer organizers, jewelry boxes, etc.

​We're confident that you'll love your oil sets, but we'll be here to back up your purchase for 90 days if for any reason you are not satisfied. Just contact us within 90 days of your purchase date for a full refund in the form of store credit that you can use on a future Sixth Scents subscription set.

​Every bottle is filled, labeled, and shipped right here in Utah, USA. This way we are able to ensure quality control by bottling in small batches as the orders roll in. This too better enables us to keep our oils fresh and properly stored in a cool, dark location. Also, we love that our oils are globally sourced to assure that they are grown in countries where they can be sustainably grown.

​Our products are, and always will be, vegan and cruelty-free. High-five for safe animals! We also do not use alcohol extraction methods on our essential oils as they are always steam distilled or cold pressed ensuring purity. 

We donate 6% of all profits to One Acre Fund to help support small farmers across the globe. This charity has dedicated its services to teach and support these farmers knowing that when the farms prosper, their community is boosted as well. We believe in this charity and feel a keen love for its mission and accomplishments.
