Good Vibes Body Butter

This Homemade Body Butter is sure to bring you some very happy results.

Below are the skin and physiological benefits of the essential oils in this therapeutic cream.

Grapefruit- improves skin elasticity, reduces stress and anxiety, antimicrobial, mood-enhancing, the scent promotes weight loss.

Lemon- reduces anxiety and depression, antimicrobial, mood-enhancing, improves acne, reduces excess oil, promotes immunity.

Lavender- promotes feelings of balance, soothing to the skin, evens skin tone, antimicrobial. reduces stress and anxiety.

Good Vibes Body Butter

• 1/3 cup coconut oil
• 1/3 cup shea butter 
• 1/3 cup cocoa butter
• 1/3 cup jojoba oil
• 15 drops grapefruit essential oil 
• 10 drops lemon essential oil
• 10 drops lavender essential oil
• 12-ounce amber glass jar

Directions

1. In a double boiler, over medium heat, combine all ingredients except for the essential oils. 
2. Stir constantly until all ingredients are melted. Remove from heat and allow to cool. 
3. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill for 30-60 minutes. 
4. Using a hand mixer, whip for 10 minutes or until fluffy. Add the essential oils and whip for another 1-2 minutes.
5. Spoon into your glass container and store in a cool, dark area.

Disclaimer: As always, use caution with essential oils. Avoid contact with mucous membranes. Not safe for direct contact with cats. Avoid the sun for 12 hours after direct contact with citrus oils. Do a skin patch test before handling essential oils to ensure there is no topical sensitivity.
